The NBA is back this weekend after a short break for the NBA all-stars game where Team LeBron took the glory. This week we have selected two of the most significant games on the fixtures list for you. Read this to find out who we have on our bet slip to take a victory this weekend. We’ve got you covered as always and will have more predictions for you as the week unfolds.
Pistons vs. Bucks
The Pistons come up against the top side in the NBA Eastern Conference this weekend and currently find themselves toward the bottom in the 12th spot. It’s four defeats on the bounce for Detroit, and the fans are starting to think about next season as this one is virtually a write-off. Facing the top team in the whole of the NBA couldn’t come at a worse time for the Pistons.
The last time they put in any kind of performance was five games ago as they overcame the Suns by 116 points to 108. Even if they manage to find that level again, it’s a massive task to get anything from this matchup. The Pistons will likely have to wait to turn the tide around.
The Bucks have been fantastic since the second quarter of the season, and they have more wins under their belt than any other team in the NBA. The fans will be hoping this year is the year for Milwaukee, and it’s now a case of keeping up the level of performance they have achieved all season.
They’ve won eight of their last ten appearances, and that’s NBA Championship form without a doubt. If they can pick up another win here, the march to glory will continue at pace. We wouldn’t bet against them winning by a margin of 10+ points in this one.
76ers vs. Nets
The Sixers started their NBA campaign in excellent style, and after the first ten games, they were top of the Eastern Conference. Things have changed a lot since then. They’re now looking over their shoulders at the Pacers down in the fifth position.
Philadelphia has started to motor over the last couple of weeks, though, and if they can claim the victory in this matchup, it’ll be their fourth in a row. The opposition isn’t far behind them, and that makes this game extra spicy.
The Nets started the NBA season poorly and languished toward the bottom of the standing for much of the early part of the year. Recent performances have seen a shift in their outlook, and they’ve won an impressive seven of the last ten games played.
Their fans will have high hopes of keeping on the right track with another win here, but it’s not an easy game to call by any means. If you check the last ten games, they’re clearly in better form than the Sixers, but if you look at the previous five, it’s a whole other story.
