The New York Giants have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth up to $90 million with Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.

The 25-year-old former Clemson star will get a guaranteed $60 million from the deal, according to NFL Network Insiders.

He has started 57 games since the Giants drafted him at 17th overall in 2019, and he is now firmly established as one of the league’s top defensive tackles.

His new salary reflects that status, averaging $22.5 million a year. That leaves him level with Daron Payne of the Washington Commanders as the joint-third-highest earning defensive tackle in the NFL, with only Aaron Donald and Jeffrey Simmons earning more.

It comes just a couple of months after fellow 2019 first-round pick Daniel Jones agreed to a four-year deal worth $160 million with the G-Men.

With those two key stars now tied down to new deals, the focus will shift to superstar running back Saquon Barkley.

The Giants made a surprise run to the playoffs last season, and Brian Daboll was handed the Associated Press 2022 NFL Coach of the Year award for driving the renaissance in his first year with the team.

Some sportsbooks are now offering just +1600 on the Giants winning the NFC, but you can grab a market leading +2200 at DraftKings or BetMGM.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain the +300 favorites with most books, so the NFC East looks like a very strong division. The Giants are +5000 outsiders for the Super Bowl.
