The New York Jets are now priced at just +1400 to win the Super Bowl after they completed a blockbuster deal to sign Aaron Rodgers.

The 39-year-old quarterback said he was “90% retired” before ultimately deciding he wanted to join the Jets.

He is a four-time NFL MVP, but he only has one Super Bowl title under his belt, and he believes he can add to that in New York.

Rodgers said he is confident the franchise is heading in the right direction, and he is exciting to link up with a core of players that includes Offensive Rookie of the Year in Garrett Wilson and Defensive Rookie of the Year in Sauce Gardner.

“I’m an old guy, so I want to be at a place that can win it all and I believe we can do that here,” he said.

Rodgers will count $15.8 million against the Jets’ salary cap in 2023 and $32.5m in 2024, and the owners hope he can bring immediate success.

The sportsbooks responded by slashing the odds to +1400 on the Jets winning the big game, leaving them behind just five teams in the betting: the Chiefs (+650), Eagles (+850), Bills (+900), Bengals (+1000) and 49ers (+1000).

They are also priced at +900 with DraftKings to win an ultra-competitive AFC, and FanDuel has +250 on them finishing ahead of the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots in the AFC East.
