In a significant move for the Saudi-backed golf league, LIV Golf has announced the addition of a new expansion team, Legion XIII, led by two-time major champion and current Masters holder, Jon Rahm.
This marks the first new team to join LIV Golf since its establishment in 2022, bringing the total number of teams to 13.
Rahm's impressive career includes a win at the 2023 Masters, as well as victories at the 2021 U.S. Open and three DP World Tour Championships (in 2017, 2019, and 2022).
Tyrrell Hatton, a six-time European tour champion and three-time Ryder Cup participant, will team up with Rahm.
Top amateur and SEC individual champion Caleb Surratt from the University of Tennessee rounds out the roster for Legion XIII.
Beginning this Friday, El Camaleon Golf Course in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, will host LIV Golf's inaugural tournament of the season, LIV Golf Mayakoba, where our team is scheduled to compete.

Hatton will bring his valuable experience to Rahm's team as they take on other LIV Golf teams this season.
Top amateur and SEC individual champion, Caleb Surratt, is turning pro and joining Legion XIII after a record-setting career at Tennessee. His impressive performances in prestigious tournaments have earned him recognition as one of the top young golfers in the world. With his strong work ethic and determination, Surratt is poised to make an impact on Rahm's team in his professional debut.
Zimbabwe's Kieran Vincent earned his place on Legion XIII through impressive performances at LIV Golf Promotions. The 26-year-old turned professional in 2022 and played golf at Liberty University. Vincent's progression from college golf to the pros enriches Rahm's squad.
