Carolina Hurricanes

Goaltenders Frederik Andersen (blood clotting issue) and Antii Raanta (lower body) are expected to remain sidelined for the Carolina Hurricanes’ meeting with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday at PNC Arena, Raleigh (7:00 p.m. ET).

Spencer Martin excelled as netminder in a 3-1 road win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday night, making 29 out of 30 stops. However, Pyotr Kochetkov has a good chance at returning in net against Chicago.

Carolina will begin a three-game home stretch against the Blackhawks as they search for their third consecutive victory. The Canes are 4-2 over February, and sit second in the Metropolitan Division on 69 points.

Edmonton Oilers

Looking to pick up back-to-back victories in a trip to Arizona on Monday, the Edmonton Oilers face off against the Coyotes at Mullett Arena, Tempe (4:00 p.m. ET).

Coach Kris Knoblauch will have a full strength roster to choose from as the Oilers feature in their final road game of a three-match series. Edmonton were able to defeat the Dallas Stars 4-3 in overtime on Saturday, and will be looking to carry that momentum into the desert to open the week.

Winger Dylan Holloway took the ice at full capacity on Sunday after missing the win over the Stars due to illness. Stuart Skinner is set to return in goal, replacing Calvin Pickard who made 24 out of 27 saves against Dallas last time out.

Los Angeles Kings

Carl Grundstrom and Blake Lizotte will both remain on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) for the Los Angeles Kings’ home clash with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday (10:30 p.m. ET). Goaltender Pheonix Copley is out for the season.

The Kings were without the trio for their 2-1 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. Adrian Kempe scored twice in the third period to secure the come-from-behind victory and their third triumph in a row.

Los Angeles have struggled at Crypto.com Arena of late, losing six of their last eight games. However, they did beat the Oilers 4-0 in their most recent game on their own ice.

New York Islanders

Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo (lower body) will be on LTIR for the New York Islanders’ road trip to PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh as they take on the Penguins on Tuesday (7:00 p.m. ET).

Hudson Fasching remains in doubt after failing to feature in the 6-5 overtime loss to the New York Rangers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. The Islanders had led the game 4-1 in the second period and 5-3 in the third, but failed to hold on for the win in what was a part of the NHL’s Stadium Series.

The Isles have lost their last three consecutive games and will be hoping to avoid making it four as they begin back-to-back road games. First up is the Penguins before they face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights should have no new injury issues for their matchup against the San Jose Sharks on Monday at SAP Center, San Jose (4:00 p.m. ET).

After losing 3-1 at home to the Hurricanes on Saturday, Vegas are looking to avoid a third straight loss. The Golden Knights have been dealing with problems to Robin Lehner, Pavel Dorofeyev, Tobias Bjornfot, Shea Theodore, Jack Eichel and William Cartier. All six are currently on injured reserve.

Vegas are currently second in the Pacific Division on 68 points, placing them in fifth in the Western Conference.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Forward Tanner Jeannot is not expected to feature for the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday when they host the Ottawa Senators at Amalie Arena, Tampa (7:00 p.m. ET). He was unable to play in the heavy 9-2 defeat at home to the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

The Lightning also moved Mikhail Sergachev to LTIR last week. Nick Paul was considered questionable ahead of the Panthers game, but was good to go and will be able to play against the Senators.

Tampa Bay will be hoping to bounce back after losing their first home game in eight at the weekend. They occupy sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.

New York Rangers

The Rangers pulled off a stunning 6-5 overtime victory in their rivalry clash with the Isles on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. They now move to 5-0-0 for all outdoor games (an NHL record).

The win over the Islanders was the Blueshirts’ seventh straight triumph, and they will be looking to make it eight when they welcome the Dallas Stars to Madison Square Garden, New York on Tuesday (7:00 p.m. ET).

Winger Blake Wheeler was doubtful for Sunday’s Stadium Series affair, and he failed to feature due to a lower-body injury. It has now been confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the regular season. Defenseman Ryan Lindgren is considered day-to-day after picking up an injury against the Isles.
