MLS Is Back Tournament Betting | Betting Preview | July 25
After nearly a whole month of thrills, spills and plenty of talking points, the MLS is Back Tournament is all set for its first round of knockout fixtures. We were spot on in all but one of our MLS predictions for last year's postseason, and this exciting tournament's knockout rounds could be the perfect excuse to hop onto our MLS parlay calculator once again and fill your boots!

Orlando City vs. Montreal Impact - July 25, 8PM EDT

What a performance it has been by Orlando City on home soil so far. One of the heavy underdogs coming into the tournament with odds as high as +10000 with some bookies pre-tournament, the Lions' qualification from a group containing Philadelphia Union (+1400), Inter Miami and 2019 Western Conference champions NYCFC (+5000) has had a lot of people reconsidering their chances. Four points against Union and City were the highlights, with Orlando pipping Philadelphia to top spot in Group with a superior goal difference of just +1.

Thierry Henry's Montreal Impact (+7500) side recovered from a 0-2 opening to the New England Revolution and Toronto (+1400) in Group C to edge out D.C. United 1-0 in a must-win match and clinch a spot in the round of 16. It was far from pretty, but it got the job done. Fair to say that the superstars of Victor Wanyama and Bojan haven't shown their best yet, but there's no denying there's always a threat when players of their quality step onto the pitch.

Our prediction

Form books go out the window in knockout rounds. Montreal Impact to take the win

Philadelphia Union vs. New England Revolution - July 25, 10:30PM EDT

Our MLS picks and parlays pre-tournament had Philadelphia Union (+1400) as one of the competition's dark horses and a safe bet to qualify out of Group A. And they did just that, going unbeaten throughout and finishing with a 2-0-1 record. They took the lead in all three of their games and played some very fluid soccer along the way, both of which has seen their odds sink routinely throughout the tournament.

Before Union fans can get ahead of themselves, they have to get past this tricky Revs side however. Surprisingly topping a group containing MLS Cup runners up Toronto, D.C. and Montreal, Bruce Arena's side have arguably had the better of every game they've played in Florida. 2019 MLS Newcomer of the Year Carles Gil has continued to impress, Diego Fagundez seems to have found a home in the side again and the two superstars of Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa have both already found the net so far.

Our prediction

New England's attack should give Philadelphia plenty of problems, but we think the Union will ultimately have too much here
